I am Mrs. Manzo and I am the Technology Coordinator and Computer Teacher at Our Lady of Guadalupe School. Technology is something that changes and redefines itself constantly. My job is to keep our students aware of the possibilities and the pitfalls of using technology. Our Lady of Guadalupe students must learn to use technology confidently and responsibly. We have a 1:1 device program in Grade 5-8 using iPads which the students take home daily. Grade 4 has daily access to iPads for classroom use although they do not take them home. Grade 3 has access to Chromebooks every day. All students at Our Lady of Guadalupe School use Google Apps for Education along with their school email and storage on Google Drive. Students in grades 2-8 have weekly access to the Computer Lab Chromebooks and grades K-2 have Chromebooks which are available for sharing in their classroom. We feel that it is important for OLG students to be exposed to technology in its many forms and operating systems.
